John M. Mullen, is President of Morgan Group, Inc. and has over forty years’ experience in the acquisition, financing, development and disposition of assets acquired through various companies, partnerships and joint ventures. These assets include apartments, conversion of industrial properties to residential lofts, office buildings, new construction high-rise condominiums, rehabilitation of historic properties and apartment conversions.

Mr. Mullen, previous to Morgan, was President of Chicago Urban Properties, Inc.(1995-98), a division of Sundance Homes, a publicly traded (NASDAQ) company. Under his direction, he was directly responsible for creating the Chicago Division. Mr. Mullen was able to assemble a staff of 70 professional employees to acquire, plan, develop, finance, construct and sell 640 lofts and high-rise condominiums and town homes.

Prior to Chicago Urban Properties, Mr. Mullen was Vice President of Kenard Corporation (1992-1995), a residential developer in the City of Chicago, specializing in loft condominiums. While at Kenard, he coordinated and was responsible for the acquisition, due diligence, financing, pre-development planning, marketing and sales of River Bank Lofts, located in River North, Peterson Lofts and Folio Square Lofts located in Printers Row, Ravenswood Lofts in Ravenswood and 540 Lake Shore Drive, in Streeterville.

While with Atlantis Properties (1988-92) as Vice President, Mr. Mullen was responsible for the Gold Coast conversion of a 195 unit apartment located at 1445 N. State Parkway, the conversion of City Town Lofts in River West and Wheelworks Lofts in Lincoln Park.

Mr. Mullen, prior to Chicago, developed property in Park City and Deer Valley, Utah, a high end ski resort, for six years (1982-1988).

Mr. Mullen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University where he was a quarterback on the 1965-66 National Championship Team. He is an active member of the National Association of Home Builders, the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, an Illinois licensed Real Estate Broker and a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Chicago Association of Realtors
